iDMe contact tracing for NZ Sport Thank you for your patience while waiting for the iDMe contact tracing system for sport. New Zealand sports organisers are required to maintain a contact tracing log to identify individuals who may have come into contact with someone diagnosed with COVID-19. Sector advice from Sport NZ can be found here. Traditional sign-in methods such as a manual guest book (paper/pen) or touchscreen iPad are not desirable since people don’t want to touch shared items or surfaces. Also, these sign-in methods can be cumbersome when a number of people may congregate within a relatively short space of time, since they can cause queues and delay access. iDMe solves this Step 1 iDMe lets sports organisers turn your own smartphone or tablet into a QR Code scanner so you can instantly scan people into your venue, courts, turf, fields or clubrooms. Step 2 iDMe lets people create their own personal QR Code on their phone with their contact information (name, address, email, phone number). They can save it to their phone home screen and only need to do this once. It's as simple as that. Once saved, everyone's personal QR Code displays on their phone even without wifi or data. They can then show their personal QR Code to be signed in and provide their details for contact tracing, completely touch-free. Or self check-in. There's also a self check-in option that lets people register to attend without being scanned.
Try it yourself - create your own personal QR Code here now QR Code scanner module The QR Code scanner module lets a venue, facility, event, school or club use any smartphone or tablet as your own QR Code reader. There is no need for specialist scanner hardware or a wand. Once Sporty has turned your organisation on, you can login to the place for your organisation from any smartphone or tablet and start the QR scanner. It will ask for your permission and then activate the camera on your smartphone or tablet so it becomes a scanner. It can then scan the QR Code from each person's phone to read their contact information and automatically add it to an online database for your organisation, along with the date & timestamp. If a person doesn’t have a smartphone or hasn’t generated their own QR Code, the system allows you to add their details to the database manually if you wish. The QR Code scanner module is free for New Zealand non-profit regional sports organisations (RSOs) and sports clubs as long as you are scanning in people that are not paying to attend. For example, Netball Centres are entitled to freely use iDMe to scan in players and supporters attending a community netball game. And clubs can scan people into your clubrooms, training sessions, or attending your AGM if you wish. In instances where it is not practical to scan people's QR codes, organisations can login to Sporty and create a 5 character venue code for any location. Then people with iDMe can simply use this 5 character venue code to check-in instead. Try it yourself - request the Scanner module for your organisation Data is securely saved for your organisation The contact details of each person who scans in or performs a self check-in are automatically added to a secure database that is accessible to the host organisation. Each record includes the location, date and time of attendance. All records are automatically deleted from the database after 1 month in accordance with Ministry guidelines. And it's free for Kiwi sport iDMe is a free service from Sporty.co.nz. Anyone can create their own personal QR Code with iDMe.
